Scott Duff's book is a little vague for me on recognizing a gas cylinder correct for a Feb '44 ser # 2.599 M SA rifle. It seems like the only identifying characteristics are no number, flat on top of rear ring and wide sight platform. Is that correct?

BTW, I've cleaned the stock, now some steel wool and tung oil and call it done.
