The informtion that I have read from various posts and from Skennerton's Lee-Enfield is that in the early 1950's, the Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF
) at Wah Cantt acquired tooling and machinery from BSA Shirley in which they made and refurbished MkI rifles. In the mid 1950's, after production of the Mk2 rifle was complete, the Fazakerley plant was acquired by POF and production of the Mk2 began.
