    I could be wrong, but I did not know the US Army issued the S&W Victory (38 cal) in a cross-draw hip holster ? Looks more like the Model 1917 revolver (45 acp)

    Yes, it could very well be the 1917. I believe the Army did issue the S&W though. Could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time
