I have a D-Day June '44 M1 Garand too.
Can you please also check if this SA GAW mark is original or a fake ?

Rick B is correct, those target photos are mine from an old GCA article I wrote on NMs. A credit to the GCA Journal would have been nice.

Did you discuss about this problem with Tom Findley sending him an email ( hobbiesnov3 @ trfindley.com) ?
I think credits should be listed at his website close your target photos.
