Forced to buy some ammo
Needed to obtain some ammo to check my .308 sight in after my fall in deer season.
Had to settle for Hornady SST in 150 grain. The write up on the box was impressive but the price was $36.00 a box or about $2.00 apiece.
I do not expect the prices to go down so I had to take a chance. Up here in NWPa we have a shortage of .308s, .22s, and 30/30s

Ouch.!! These shortages have forced me to adapt and overcome. Most of my shooting right now is done with the 91/30 spitin spam can ammo.

Good ammo but yes not that reasonably priced. I expect by fall supply should get better however think prices will remain high. Doubt we will ever see the prices of a year or more ago.
Personally bought lots over the last three years and am not a hoarder however you can't have too much.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

Interesting, on a trip out to California I saw lots of ammo in a hardware store in Nevada. Some Wal Mart stores were well stocked with ammo of many kinds and others were almost out of ammo. I bought 3 bulk boxes of the CCI .22lr AR ammo and a 100 round box of Winchester 9mm Luger 115 gr. all ammo came from Wal Mart's. The hardware store ammo was priced way to high for me to want any of it. About the only .308 ammo I wanted was the only one I couldnt find, 150 gr. Remington core lokt. So I worked up a load and will hunt with hand loads instead of the Remington factory. I picked up 2 boxes of 17 cal. at a store just down the street from my home, lots of other calibers on the shelf yes some .308 also. I think I'll go back and get 2 more boxes of the 17. Good luck

The two major Walmarts up here had thread bare shelves. However, I do enjoy watching some the strange people that shop Walmart. Called Walmartians....

There are several emails going around that have photos of Mal-Wart shoppers, hard to describe the gear they are wearing. Have you ever seen one?

I guess you could say there are some "different" kinds of people that go out to shop, all dressed up or is it dressed down. Sometimes just the visit at Wal Mart is worth it, walmartians.

I saw an older man walking around with toilet paper hanging out the back of his pants! Too many to mention. Late evening is best.
There is a whole web site devoted to walmartians. Google or Bing it Too funny! Also states which Walmart it is. California is the best
