Pictures are worth a thousand words... But, it sounds like a Russian Capture mixmaster. Comrade Bubba smeared shellac on thousands of K98's after they spent years in bins, some outside.! If it is an RC, who knows nowadays but around $300 to $400 is all I'd be willing pay.

One thing I missed when buying mine was,, Look down the stock from the rear to insure it isn't warped. Mine is but I got lucky, I'm a righty and it tucks nicely into my shoulder..
