    This explains why we see converted trials rifles particularly with various "T" and sometimes also "TR" stamps added to the butt sockets.

    We've also seen a few unconverted "TR" rifles with both Enfield examiner's marks and the "S" on the mag cutoff block. I have one now with the "TR" later barred out with the cancellation mark.
