I didn't want to appear too interested in the rifles.
But I was kicking myself later. I noticed our tour guide speaking to two very tall young men. They seemed quite chummy and I found out later she was friends with them and they were off-duty ceremonial guards. I would have loved to talk to them about the Garands.
I noticed that the guards had the rear sights cranked up to long range, too.
