    Yes, they surely are. Don't recognize the headstamp but it's WWII era made in 1944. In the U.S. the cartridge is known by it's SAAMI designation 8mm Mauser, in Europe C.I.P. refers to it as the 8x57mm IS and the military designation is 7.92x57. Confusing ain't it?

    I'm far from a bayonet expert but it does look sorta like a Spanish bayonet for the earlier M93/95 Mausers. As I understand it the reason for the extension is so these older bayonets could be used.
