    I wonder if it's ex Iranian/Persian armed forces judging by the way the rear sight is marked? The sight markings look Farsi or Arabic to me and you may be able to find a translation on-line. Have a look at WorldBayonets website as I think they may have a translation for the numbers??? I believe that Iran did purchase Czechicon made bayonets for their Mauser rifles - I have one.
