When you push the last of the cartridges charger in (Mk III & No.'s 4 & 5's) for the 10 rounds a little trick is as you feel the last round leave the charger and start to enter the mag whilst it is still sitting on the 9th round ever so slightly move your thumb forward a smidge whilst maintaining pressure on the 10th cartridge and push into the mag it takes a bit of practice but you will get the feel by having a dummy set up of 2 clips and just practice it surely stops rim overs which costs valuable time to sort out in a speed shoot never ever have I had it happen to me Ho Ho.... it would have cost a few lives in the heat of battle no doubt.
Another thing is do not waste time flicking the 2nd empty charger clip out with your fingers just close the bolt rather rapidly and it will knock it out of the way, I have also seen rounds staggered in the clips thus ///// and not _-_-_ they did not seem to have any feeding issues.
Good news is our range may be cleared as FFU at the end of April after some 16-18 months closure so can start slinging lead again in earnest after a forced layoff......![]()
