Can you verify this German knife scabbard?
This is being sent to me for my consideration. But I am suspicious of the bright nazi markings. Haven't seen another quite so boldly marked. The fact that it was with a "paratroopers knife" doesn't help. Can you authenticate and if so match it with its' proper blade?
Thanks.

Someone is feeding you a giant line of BS!!! That is the scabbard for an HJ knife. Never seen one with what looks like a helmet decal on it so would guess that is added post war.
The folder also in the photo is probably a PFAKE!!! These came out of England
in the early (?) 60s.

I agree, the whole things is most likely spurious.

So the scabbard is for a Hitler Youth knife, just like it looks. But the "decal" was probably added later? Does a lone scabbard such as this have any value? I realize the "paratrooper" knife, like all paratrooper knives of this style, is basically fake. And thank you for your response.

Without better pics it's hard to be sure, but we would likely agree that the whole thing is fake, therefore no value.

NO, not of "No" value! It has value as a scabbard for an HJ knife to the guy who has the knife, but no scabbard - I'd guess $15+/- ?

Thank you Sarge. That's what I was thinking, but I just didn't have a "ballpark" for the price.
Regards.

Here is a better pic. There is a small marking (RZM) on the back. Small enough that it seems unlikely that it would have been added to a fake. But I still question the Swastika, so bold on the front. A search of youth knives sheaths show nothing like it. Like stated above...maybe aftermarket.Attachment 76054Attachment 76056Attachment 76055

All I can say is in todays world the fakers are getting really good at faking stuff so much so even the experts can occasionally be had , if you have to keep asking questions yourself even after research that cannot be answered then perhaps it is better to pass. But in saying that to you it is said on this site time and again about a certain make of rifle and that is "Never say say never with Enfields"
Also where is the HJN knife!!
