Yes, I understand that. It just seems that the stock is a retread on a new gun.

The matching stock serial (and the large font style for the 'F' letter guns), and the Chinese wood make it pretty certain the stock came with the rifle when it arrived in Albania via China.

I think it's more likely that the metal (or at least parts of the metal) were re-blued at some point in the rifle's lifetime.
