There were semi-auto M3A1 "Grease Guns" made by Valkerie Arms as well as the M60 H&R Reising. I've had a couple of M50's and have to agree with Jim that they don't compare to the M1/M1A1icon TSMG. They run just as fast and are hard to hold on to in F/A fire. The weight and balance of the M1A1 is perfect once you know how to use it.

To be fair, he did say semi only...so it would plunk away, it's just that the gunners on the range would want to go over and p*ss on a Reising but they'd all admire a Thompson...

Problems with the semi Thompsons that are already out there is they aren't a real Thompson, Brian will know what I mean. Once you've worked with the real thing enough you can't accept the copy. If I was doing it, and in the US, I'd pay the tax stamp and get a real M1icon and get to work...
    Regards, Jim

I would love a real Thompson but that's wayyyy out of my price range. Even if I had the spare $20K, I would have trouble dropping it on one gun - and I'm very good at spending money haha.
