    So are you saying that label would have been on commercial US ammo boxes of the era or military? I haven't seen that before on the carbine ammo boxes that I have. Would A.R. mean Army Regulations? Thanks! - Bob

    I assume that A.R. does mean army regulations.
    Anyway, you do make a great point - I don’t think I’ve ever seen a carbine ammo box with this label format either. I would definitely say that is this US military format though.
