Remington Stock Finish

started using Nitrocellulose Lacquer with a toner dye mixed in (Toner Lacquer)

Could have been a Amber toned Shellac, but I'm not sure.
Shellac goes back to the early Egyptians and then some.

Can't follow up beyond this, as I'm off to Wash DC for my Daughters graduation from George Washington U. in 1 hr.
Be about a week.
