Yep, quite a few here in the UK are built up from mix and match kits, as provided by a certain large UK dealer.

Some consider this a legal requirement due the vague nature of the legal mechanism that allows the build.

Others don't see the issue and build rifles from matching parts kits, with a new unported barrel and sufficient modifications to render the rifle manually operated.


I'm fortunate that both my rifles are all matching, Enfield 1962 and Lithgow 1964.
