Remington Pattern 14 canted front sight

Going back to your first set of pics you can see a double witness mark on the receiver. Just curious, if the barrel was clocked to the unused mark would the sight base be true?

I brought this up waaaaay back there but he challenged that the marks were just...wide... No, there's two. Here's hoping he'll shoot it before we make a book out of this.
