Underwood M1 Carbine evaluation

Is that a broken / chipped tooth on the trigger housings mag catch..... On the TH not the actual Magcatch ?

A good stock cleaning sure wouldn't hurt it. Best to coat the wood with RLO.

What does that faint marking say on the left side of the receiver ring?

Thank you for the Merex id. I’d never had made that out. When I get home I can take some more pictures of the mag catch.
I’m hoping a good scrubbing will help.
