    Express cartridges

I have owned this small collection for a number of years and have enjoyed collecting these cartridges. I believe the 505 Gibbs is the largest used in a bolt action while double rifles were used for many of these cartridges, single shot rifles for some like the 475 No 2 nitro were used too. There have been custom square bridge Mauser actions available since the 1930's, some imported and produced in the USAicon

    the collection left to right:

    303 Norma, 500/450 nitro, 475 No 2 nitro, 470 H&H, 505 Gibbs, 500 Eley and 577
