    WW2 auto license plates

With a big effort to save steel, some motor vehicle license plate were made from a cardboard and soybean mixture for general use. There was a problem with animals such as dogs and livestock who would chew parts of the license plate off when mounted on a vehicle. These plates belonged to a neighbor of my father who was also a local policeman, his badge was #95 and his address was 934
