    Judging from the picture Roger Payneicon posted it is highly likely a No6 bolt head.
    And judging by the lack of responses i would say it is rare (not many people know what it is) so that would support a bit the theory of it being for a No6 .22 rifle

    Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

    Tonyd, you have the bolt in hand so you are better placed to compare it with Alan's pic.... what do you think?

    So.. Is the consensus that these are No.6 .22 boltheads? I somehow have two. And they fit into the Britishicon No.7 action with just a very small mis-alignment of the extractor slots.
