If it shoots high you need to raise the front sight to bring the point of impact down to line up with the point of aim. Also make sure the rear sight is adjusted as low as it can go before adjusting the front sight. As illogical as it sounds all front sight adjustments are the opposite of where you want the shot to go. Up moves it down, down moves it up, right moves it left and left moves it right.
The 8mm follower should work fine as the 2 rounds have similar profiles. Almost any Mauser style magazine spring should work providing it attaches to the follower and floorplate properly.Information
