Joe Salter...I knew him at one time. That was years ago when he came out here to visit an old friend regularly. If it's really odd, he'll have it. He has the volume.

Faris had Trials Lee Metford Carbine serial 32. Poulin Antiques auctioned it as lot 2019 in their 4/2017 auction for $ 4100. For what I remember this is including buyer's premium.
Edit: that Faris rifle is the example illustrated in Lee-Enfield on page 81 - also Ian commented on this one that there were 100 made for trials and they were later fitted with hand guard and brass butt plate screws. Also he noted that this one was possibly reblued.
