    LOL, I just proved him wrong. It's a little cannon but it is a cannon. Still not sure on the caliber, bigger than a 45 for sure, probably 58 as that's what most that look like this are. It is rifled but very weak twist. The rust is coming off but it's going to take a lot of work. Paint looks great. I was wondering how you fire them but they make miniature rope fuze. No rust in the bore except right at the end there's a little.

    Nothing a bit of muriatic won't cure...and the fuse is available from any of the folks that cater to BP shooters. It's green and made for exactly this... I'll bet you can find a round ball mold for this.

    Definitely made to be shot. They actually call that green stuff canon fuse. Used to get it in six foot rolls. We'd rub the end of it on a rock or concrete for quicker, more reliable ignition after it was cut to length. Useful for all sorts of nefarious purposes.
