I wouldn't quite call it a collection. I think I'm up to four now. But it is slowly growing so one day it will become a collection. Five, I just remembered I have a Russian whistle from WWI around here somewhere. Early 50's British round whistle and two US plastic ones from WWII.

It's worth keeping an eye out for the various different markings that can be found on this style of whistle, for example, "ARP" for air raid warden/civil defence, "The Metropolitan" for police and "Boy Scouts".

Mine is just "Made in England". Issued out of a box of them, didn't look for better markings. Wonder what's become of the others over time...probably gone into the gash bin.
