My brother knows I have some US milsurp rifles, and he also likes flea markets and gun shows. He bought for me a few rounds of vintage cartridges with paper bullets. I vaguely recall reading how these types of rounds were made for training in indoor ranges back in the day but dont know much more than that.
Both he and I figured they were .30-06 rounds (on a clip for a M1903), but after considering the apparent date on the headstamp (FA 5 05) maybe not? Thoughts anyone on what I have?
And thoughts on how to get them into the hands of someone who might be interested in this sort of history?
