PS: So far this month, I've picked up a righteous 1939 Wehrmacht mess kit, a matching Yugorefurb 1939 Sauer K98, and a Yugo M48. Also, a nice original clo41 K98k
sling and a ww2 german canteen that I haven't seen yet, so not sure how it'll turn out.
I also snagged a bunch of hard to locate parts to fix some issues with my late-war K98k RC, such as proper un-numbered swp45 cocking piece, bolt shroud, safety, TWO stamped trigger guards (a qnv and a byf - either would be correct), un-numbered WaA214 stamped floorplate, stamped follower, swp45 kriegsmarine stock set, TWO kriegsmodel bolt bodies with round vent holes (one with and one without guide rib - not sure which I'll use) and even the proper un-numbered rear sight assembly. Only thing I'm missing is the sheet metal nose cap, but I'm working on that... FWIW, the only parts that are typically serialized on a late swp45 like mine are the bolt body and receiver, so the restoration will be really accurate![]()
