    1903 remington Rear Sight question

I have a 1903 rear sight aperture marked R and 6. Would this have been made by Remington for their 1903 model? TIA --RBruce

Wishfull thinking. I was hoping that you had an off-set aperture to the right.
The off-set apertures in my collection are left of center.
The aperture on left of your picture is a Remington second from left is a resized aperture that is mentioned in Brophys book.

Gary, Ok, I'll bite... Why is the aperture offset to one side, or the other? The M1903 rear sight has tons of left and right windage. What's the deal? Thanks, KarlKW
