    New Crate Carbine

    Is this legit, if so would anyone know what this would sell for since it probably won't be listed. I did look up Lt. Hafer and if it was him he lived a long life.

    UNISSUED U.S. M1icon CARBINE, INLAND MFG. IN IT'S ORIGINAL FACTORY WRAPPING*

    Description:
    30 cal. carbine, Inland mfg. in the 6747xxx serial range. Adjustable rear sight, low wood, with bayonet lug. It remains as new in the original grease and packing wrapper. It was purchased by Lt. Sebastian Hafer, 14 Feb. 1946 and has the accompanying paper work. In it's original shipping crate addressed from the A.P.O. San Francisco to Lt. Hafer's address in Gettysburg, Pa. where it has remained untouched for 71 years.
