S'G' Carbine Following
I find the S'G' carbine one of the most interesting carbine due to its history and rarity. But, watching GB and AA the S'G' appears to be one of the least popular carbines being sold. Yet it is priced at the ODCMP at the same price as the Rock-Ola and Winchester.
What's the take on the S'G' on the forum, do most of you have one in your collection?

S'G' values
Right now the internet sale sites are awash with carbines and most any kind of so called collectible. Its the economy is probably a good answer. Another reason I would guess generic rebuilt S'G' are at CMP
prices on the internet is purely price of parts and scarcity of such and how much you will have in a restored IP or S'G'. I think the people restoring the IP's are keeping the parts cost high for the S'G' guns. Also with the proliferation of repro parts and the increasing good quality of such is hard to tell the difference so people may just be buying the repro parts from the Riverbanks, abcleighs, and L&S's of the world. All this creates a lot of confusion for newbies, us former newbies, the collector wannabees and finally for the pure collectors. I probably have just added to the confusion, my wife says I can't explain crap.

I ran into a old timer selling the two worst Garands ever in a gun show parking lot headed back to his car.No sale at $750 each. I got the story about how they were his sisters late husbands and he had priced everything in a book and nothing was selling. We went to house the next day to see the other stuff and he brought out the S'G' in the picture.It was my 4th Carbine but I had no idea what I had bought. After someone explained it to me and gave me some books to read I was hooked. Now carbines will probally be the death of me.

Sir, that is the understatement of the year for most of us....
I don't know what I'm going to do when my favorite drug - I mean gun dealer (goes by the name Orest???) sells out of his last carbine... guess I will go broke paying the online prices....
