New Private series K31-with match stickers
I've got this thing for Swiss
rifles, especially the late manufactured ones and especially the ones that have Swiss match stickers on them.
Today I got a K31 hat trick...late manufacture, Swiss match stickers and a Private series serial number

Description advised as follows
Swiss Schmidt-Rubin Karabiner Model 1931 (K31) Straight-Pull Rifle, #268285, 7.5x55mm Swiss, 25.7'' barrel, blue finish, European walnut stock, with sling. Import marked. Condition is fine to near excellent retaining approx. 95% blue on receiver. Stock shows minor dings, scratches, thinning to finish, and light oil staining. Action is crisp, bore is fine. Minor corrosion near rear sight should clean easily.

Beautiful! If forced to select only one Milsurp to collect the Swiss
K-31 would be in the top three if not number one.Swiss watches that shoot. Did you see this posting?

That is an interesting post.
The K31
arived at my FFL last week and I got a good look at it before it went in his safe for the 10 day cooling off period. It looks pretty good and the bore is...ooh-la-la
I'll post a range report when I get it out of jail.
