    'French' 98k stock channel markings...unusual!

A few days ago I posted pics of my 243 coded 98k..took it to the range today ( great shooter ) and broke it down to clean it. As a forum member here pointed out, it definitely seems to be a Frenchicon post war Mauser. Check out the stamps in the stock channel....number matched to the rifle, the word 'Timber' ( or Limber? ) and what appears to be a logo of some sort.
Also, the serial number is electro penciled on almost all the small metal parts. Can't get a clear shot of those, unfortunately. Anyone ever seen these stock channel stamps, because I sure haven't. Would love to know more about them!
