It’s Czech.
The inscription is telling what the rifle is. An Austrian 11mm Kropatschek rifle.

Thank you. I kind of figured out what it means but the language was beyond me.

Google Translate has auto-detect capability.
In this instance it did a pretty good job. The only word it had trouble with was Kropatschek.
