The Great War - History Channel
I watched last night. Part 2 is tonight. Regardless of the critical reviews, nice see the re-enactors in WWI gear. Finally got to see the P14 in action on the battlefield . Even though they were dispersed among the 1917s of the AEF.

I watched it briefly. Taped to avoid the endless commercials so I will probably watch Wednesday. The gear seemed right. No Japanese charring No4s like the last documentary I watched on the History channel.

I taped as well. Probably because of the lack of 1917s, the supplier threw in some P14s. Noted by some rifles with volley sights.

If you're going to have one guy in particular take out a sniper would it be too much to ask for him to have an actual 1917 not a P14 for the close up shot?

In the movies amazing shots are done like a single round sniper shot at a white suited man with a Bren or using a "T" with only the post & no horizontal line in the scope it was a great movie apart from those 2 bits.
