The A5 was last manufactured about 100 years ago. You will most likely need to search for an A5 scope that is damaged to salvage the lens you need. Search Google for "A5 scope for sale”. This will be a long process. I had a similar need for an A5 part and after about 5 years of looking, I just sold the parts I had and moved on to a different scope.
you may want to look at the hi lux repro 5 power scope, as its a copy of the Lyman A5
hmmmm, interesting idea. Does Hi Lux well replacement bits, like the lens I need?

Nope, I am strictly DIY. I dont need restoration, nor re-lamination. I need a specific part.

Yes, this was obvious years ago and the first efforts Ive been making, and failing to find a damaged scope to scavenge parts after a goodly period of time, I have now asked the community for help.
My saved searches in multiple sites are still active, but I am moving forward asking individuals in this site if they know of a resource that may actually have this part..

However, I will keep Ironsight in mind for possible future needs! Thanks.
As I understand it, the 5A was the exact same parts. Since Winchester sold everything to Lyman. Try this fellow below, also, if you can find a part number or a lens specification, I’ve had good luck with finding them at the web address below. By using part numbers I found a large supply of OEM M81/82 and 84 glass and parts “very” cheap. I was able to repair a number of scopes, even the old Winchester #8s (8X).
I’ll pm you instead, check your in box. I couldn’t remember his eBay seller ID.
Randy, I'm trying to put a Win A5 back together as well and could use a spring and possibly an objective lens if I can't restore the one i have. Would you be so kind as to pass his info on to me as well?
Gracias!
some of the scope overhaul outfits like ironsight can restore and re-laminate original lenses, if you want to go the "pay someone to fix it" route.

If you have the original objective lens there are some things you can do. Measure the outside diameter in mm. Measure the edge thickness and center thickness. I don’t know if that is an achromatic lens or not, so look at the edge and see if it is (laminated/ 2 piece) . Note if it is Biconvex or Plano (curved on both sides or just one and flat on the other. Then place a light source directly above a table or something, hold the lens horizontal with the objective side facing the light/ up, move the lens up and down toward the light and find its focal point on the table (make sure everything is in line vertical. Once you get a clear image on the table top measure from the center of the lens edge to the table. That is your focal length. Let me know this information and I’ll see if I cans find one (very likely).
