Andy, you don't have to use solder paint/paste. You can use conventional rosin fluxed solder. I just find the application of Fryolux quicker & easier. I just checked for availability on the UKicon version of 'that' internet auction site, & a number of sellers came up. I'm sure if you go on the US site you'll find an equivalent.
