Actually I was confused by your response "other way around" in the 2009 thread, and started to post there for a clarification. Since the thread was old, I was advised to start a new thread and link back to the old one. I'm confused because it looks like the EI is on top of the Steinen logo. Just couldn't figure out how it could have been the "other way around," so started this new thread. After about 80 views and no responses, I decided to make a "wild guess" as to how that could have happened. I have absolutely no data or evidence other than the appearance of the stamp. Another idea I had was that possibly Eaton Pond allowed Steinen to stamp "EI" over their own logo, and ship them directly to Inland. I'm sorry if I made it sound like I had information on this - actually I just wanted to know the real story on these "interesting" safeties. Also, were they used in production of new Inland carbines, or did they end up being used in the upgrade and rebuild programs only? Thanks! - Bob
