Help identifying holsters

The first appears to be a US Type of cavalry holster, possibly artillery. The pivot is so it rides more comfortably on the leg while on a horse. It's not a 1911 as that is what I just purchased. WWII era due to date but used postwar due to blackened color. WWII would have been brown. Not sure who was still using horses that time frame. All speculation based on my researching my 1911 purchases.

I found one on a CMP forum although it is a bit different in that the metal hooks are steel on the one in the CMP picture and the one I have seems to be bronze or something near bronze. The description is "Vintage Service MFG. Co. Military or Police Flap holster for S&W K frame revolvers with 4 inch barrels"

Not that size or type no. My 45 holster has the embossed US on it. Most of them do. That's why this might not be military but I don't know why a police department would use military belts either.

This holster was not for the .45, this is a service 38 holster. A 45 would not fit in it.

I found a site with some pictures a few minutes ago with the same holster without the swivel. Looks like they didn't have the US embossed on them...
