    ah, so the back half of the striker rod was cut off, then turned down, and bent to final shape and welded on the bolt body.
    My first guess was that someone chopped the knob off the original, ground the handle to shape, and attached a mass-produced knob at the end.
    Takes part of my smile away thinking bubba put that much more time into making it. He certainly didn't put much time into his trigger job. My bolt, and the one in this thread, are the only ones I've seen. At first I thought who would want a for a bolt handle, then I realized the detail towards the top has worn, and it was supposed to be an acorn.
