'Scuse my ignorance, Badger, but what marks it as a DCRA rifle? The EP'd marking on the buttsocket?

The EP's number is just an inventory number. It's the Big C in an oval that marks it as DCRA.

Later on, in the 1960's, the 7.62 converted DCRA and club rifles were marked with the stylized maple leaf and reserialized, but the earlier .303 rifles were marked as pictured

Its finally here. its a k43, qve43. I bought it as an barreled action only, but luckily Ive managed to find a stock and correct durofol handguard. It is indeed a vopo, and it will make a fine shooter. Here are some pictures next to an ac44.
Hopefully over the weekend I can get some far better pictures.

(The qve45 is the one with a mag in it)

Got lucky...bought one of these on an online auction and the seller made me a deal on a total of five. Add to that the one that came with the gun, and I only need two more to fill the magazine chest.

The mags are for the Boys 55 cal antitank rifle. Pictured with it are two cooey made subcal rounds, a fluted DA dummy round, and a .303 dummy round for comparision.

Inserts are .22 cal. The early boys manual of 1937 talked about a 303 subcal, but by 1939 there was an amendment to scratch that and insert .22 .
The subcal rounds are rifled and have a small adapter to convert the center fire to rimfire. The adapter is usually missing...I have only one of the adapters.
